NCS Happenings

Neosho Christian Schools are now North Central accredited – the same standard public schools strive to achieve.

Best of Neosho:  NCS has received the Best of Neosho award for private school from the national Chamber of Commerce for three consecutive years.

Crowder fine Arts:  In competion with fourteen public schools in the area, NCS won second place "again" this year in the fine arts contest.

Speeling Bee:  NCS representative ended in 8th place overall in the Joplin Globe Spelling Bee in competition with about 90 students.

History Day:  NCS students entered the History Day competition at MSSU for the first time this year.  Three students received awards of 2nd, 3rd, and honorable mention.

Band:  Our percussion group won 2nd and 3rd in Christmas parades.

Volleyball:  NCS has a growing number of students in volleyball.  NCS had three teams in the Christian conference with a 1st and two 3rd place finishes.

Teacher of the Year:  Kindergarten teacher, Terry Lankford was named Teacher of the year for 2010 and Belinda Pope, 1st grade teacher, was anmed Teacher of the year for 2011 for area private schools

National Magazine:  One NCS student had a photo featured in Current Science.


MACC Award:  Volleyball coach, Belinda Pope, was named coach of the Year.

Honor Roll:  Over 70% of our students were represented on the honor roll for academic success.

Grades 4-12 participated in Science Fair and Bible Bowl.
